A good California Zinfandel from Napa. Described as being one of their best vintages.
I tried it at Salute Wine Bar in Santa Monica. The place is very cool with its wine dispensers, low lighting, and chill environment. After a glass, we got a bottle of this one. Too good to pass up.

Opolo '06 Mountain Zinfandel
This wine is big and bold. It doesn’t hold the least bit back on flavor, aroma, or character. With dark cherries, fervent oak, and ripe plums, it’s carried by an impressionably smooth, well-balanced finish. From the Paso Robles Region in California, it is as elegant as it is good. Very good. Check this wine out.
Enjoy a good wine at a good price?
If you are ever at your local supermarket (I know), and don’t have time to run to a wine shop for a good wine that will go well with your pizza or salad, then look no further than Blackswan’s 2008 South Eastern Australia Shiraz. Bold fruits, spices, and a firm structure are what I like about this wine. And for about $9 a bottle, it’s certainly worth a try.
